Tad and Magda

Image

Tad and Magda paid us a visit the night before last. They have sailed the intracoastal many times, and gave us tips for practical anchoring places, marinas with good amenities and so forth–we should definitely shop before leaving town. I asked if it was a fun trip to do, and Tad said, “It can be.” Hmm. Magda added with a sigh that Tad likes to sail at night. Their worse trip was in December with no heat.

Peregrine gets splashed

Peregrine got splashed this morning. A big square crane lifted her in the air, and we were able to give her a quick touch-up paint job at the bottom. We then followed her to the dock where she was gently lowered into the “drink.” It brought me tears to see her keel slowly disappear in the dark water—we may not see it again for quite a while.
